Deaf in one ear

Went Fez Club tonight, on the urging of Julia - live local band night wednesday. Turns out she and my brother totally forgot to call me last week when Keldara was on. Bastards. (my brother is official Stalker-Groupie of Keldara)

Good - average songs, Monarchy, The Mighty 590 and BabyBoo. Loud, just slightly.

Have discovered that can dance sort of to guitar/punk/glam rock stuff, alongside the mini-mosh pit at the front. (we're talking mini here) But cannot dance properly, like I can to dance music and pop. Absolutely impossible to porno-dance. :sigh:

Checkpoint Charlie tomorrow, which is dance music - yay! I am bloody forcing myself to start clubbing again. Only problem is that I've got to meet Jes and Jamie before - Old mates, but have discovered that my pretention tolerance level has gone down severely since uni - these two write poetry. Goth poetry. Talk about the nature of being and... help. Thank God I can get out of it by nine. I can't take the smoke inhalation and Spiderman obsession in possibly the most fanboy way. (You think slash fans are bad? wait til you meet uber-comic fanboys. The goth sort. Fucking scary.)

Eeek!

So, I come here quite a lot, read your stuff, look at your site (I'm currently making my way throught the TDS, which I love, by the way)

And then, I read this post and freak out, because I kinda know Kaldera! One of my best friends, who's in another band used to play gigs with them and stuff. So, yeah, bit weird. Always freaky when internet and real life cross over :)

:g: glad you liked it.

You're right. crossover thing is weird when it happens. Like when you discover one of the authors you like lives in the same town...
