We came, we saw, we shopped

Or rather, went into town for the Gap sale thingy - Friends and Family of the salesfolk got 25% off today. Mum was reluctantly coming (not a keen clothes shopper) as she knew I wanted to get my hands on her wardrobe. Dragged her round River Island and Next first, pointing out some good colours and styles. Bugger all in Gap, but Marks and Sparks yielded the best. Actually got her into hipsters :smug look: that she admitted looked great on her, plus a decent rugby-style shirt and another top.

Am feeling quite accomplished. This shall have to be done again.

Still wondering where I got the shopping gene. Dad and Matt're blokes, and Mum dislikes clothes shopping. DIY, on the other hand...

Damn, I had a Gap F&F 25% off thing too, and forgot to print out the voucher before I left work on Friday. I'd have been using it in the Outlet too, bugger.

Clothes shopping's a strange thing. My sisters and I love clothes shopping, my parents only do it 'cause they have to. Still, some people I know refuse to shop for clothes unless they really, absolutely, have to, but they'll spend hours walking round the shops looking for the latest computer game.

I love to shop for books at any time, and for clothes in enormous twice-yearly I-hate-my-entire-wardrobe phases. But, oddly, shopping is this huge family activity with my extended family, where a dozen of us descend on the sales like locusts, and strip a shopping centre bare. We're frightening.
