Been dentist. Fun, as usual. I have a suspicion I will never have decent enough gums.
After that, went to cinema to see what was on. Lilo and Stitch was first, started watching and proceeded to laugh my head off. Disney with issues and only thirty seconds of sentimentality, and no preaching! I think I'm in love. We had overbearing empires, social workers, job problems, family fighting, best mates with crushes, little girls that bite people, best mentioning of death ever. Lilo's taken care of by her sister, it's obvious that the parents are dead, and the way Lilo explains it? "It was rainy. They went for a drive." And that's it. No harping except for Lilo's absolute possessiveness of the photo. And Elvis songs. Big fat white tourists. Endings that made it clear that her sister and her bloke were together in a big way.
And Stitch doing his impression of Godzilla in SF! Eeeeeeeeee! Aliens that proclaim that you can't kill them because they're cute and fluffy!

Personally, I loved the movie, and for many of the reasons you say.
