had training at Virgin, plus acquired snazzy new red shirt that is uniform. Also saw The Tempest in Guildford. First few scenes had me yawning, like last time - and may I say that the storm scene is much more effective when you're in an open-air theatre with the rain coming down and the wind blowing? At least then you've got an excuse for not hearing the words properly.

The fools were fucking hysterical, and I've decided I want to take Caliban home and adopt him. I've always been on Caliban's side. So fucking what he's an arsehole and misguided; he was here first! (insert Eddie Izzard : Do you have a flag? No flag, no country, it's in the rules.) Ben Silverstone as Ariel. All ethereal and shit, but christ, he's grown up. Face has changed since he was in Get Real. And so not straight. :g: Especially after that 'Master, do you love me?' line. The only problem? After it finished I couldn't get the epilogue from A Midsummer Night's Dream out of my head.

If we shadows have offended
Think but this and all is mended :
That you have but slumbered here
While we spirits did appear

I always felt sorry for Demetrius. Puck shows up with his fancy date-rape drugs and suddenly Demetrius is marrying psycho-stalker chick against his will. If that's my happy ending, I want a refund.
