Am just wondering. Does anyone know where the 'So far into the closet I'm in Narnia' thing started? Because I've seen references, and comic strips with 'But I don't like Turkish Delight!' quotes, and everyone I've introduced the phrase/concept to loves it because it works so damn well and everyone's got Narnia in their hindbrain as practically everyone read it as kids.

Anyone?

And now I have to apply for jobs. And try and beta this fic someone sent to me which I'm having problems beta-ing. It's not fantastically great, but it's not bad. Just being difficult.

EDIT The levels of snark in the beta are rising steadily... oh, and got a phonecall soon after posting this for an interview for part time work at the art shop. Am wondering how to break it to them that several of the saturdays (it's mon-sat) are kinda booked up. Sod it. worry about getting the damn job first.

I have no idea where the saying started, but I rather like it! :)

It first appeared on Gimme Gimme Gimme. That thing on Channel 4 with Kathy Burke in the orange fright wig and the guy from Thin Blue Line.

At least I never heard it used before it was on that show. Possibly it was something the writers gacked from the gay community, but I think GGG had it first.
