Best regiment for the Initiative to be part of would be the 60th Royal Americans, who were the first equipped with Baker Rifles (and were thus a Rifle brigade, like the 95th were) and were around from 1800 onwards. Attached to General Viscount 'Daddy' Hill's 2nd division.

I do have an idea, where a group of representatives from the Watcher's Council in Spain trying to get a girl who will be a Slayer out ends up being held hostage by French-allied demons, because I definitely want to keep the basic concept behind the Initiative, that they're specially trained to fight supernatural beings, intact. I also have the beginnings of a smut bunny, but that's neither here nor there. *g* I'll post it momentarily.
