I think I need to wash with bleach. And possibly pump the stuff into my veins to get rid of the taint. There's problems with being on the general fic lists - the amount of crap that comes through is untrue, but I have to be on there cos I run archives (never mind that I can't upload to one at the moment), and sometimes you click on a fic from morbid curiosity. A bloody BtVS/Manchild crossover. (the bloke ASH plays on Manchild has been posited by the writer as Giles' twin brother, who flunked out of Watcher studies which I suppose works) The girls of BtVS (Cordy, Buffy, Anya and Willow) go visit Giles in England and run into the Manchild lot. Gileswench. Stop. Writing. Now. It's Buffy/Giles, which is par for the course with her, and it's soppy Buffy/Giles. Willow's suddenly blushing at anything the ASH character says, and re-living her crush on Giles. The sap levels are rising to drowning point. The only character that comes out with dignity is Anya, because the writer focusses completely on the money side of her and thus gets it done amusingly. Oh, and did I mention all the life-affirming stuff that's happening? Pass me the bleach. It's a load of men going through a mid-life crisis and getting interested in twenty-one year olds, and it's just as cringe-inducing as you'd think, and worse than Manchild cringe.
