Seriously. Apparently shoe repair places do not do stitching. heel, buckles, no problem. Stitching = no.

Sandal strap broke due to the stitching going kablooey. (soles also coming apart) Went down Grays Inn road and tried 3 shoe places. All of which said no. At least the last place told me re : the soles that I might as well do it myself with rubber glue.

Eventually found a bag shop that'd do it for a tenner. but I won't get them back til Friday.

I'm bloody sure the place in oxford circus tube did when they repaired the strap on my wedges.

I'd be tempted to try the repair myself, for that price. Thin leather thonging or really strong thread and a hefty needle. What my late mother called a 'frog-stabber'.
