Of the past few days. On dial-up. :sigh:

Right. :deep breath:

Thursday, went to Winchester Cathedral. Fantastic. See me and dad geek out on architecture, church politics and warfare. One of the volunteers loved it that we were utter church architecture geeks. It's a fun thing to stand there discussing norman influences and actual architecture tricks. Also : highest proportion of military graves/plaques in a church I've seen ever. Mostly Rifles. Also fantastic plaques on the officers - some very specific ones.

Examples : 'got his head blown off by artillery in this battle'
'killed by raving fanatic at battle of'
'survived all the battles, then drowned on the ship on the way back when it foundered off cape whatist'

And as Winchester is a thousand years old, almost, some v. famous graves and church leaders. Anyway. geeked terribly.

Babysat that night, and lessee... there was Spike/Anya drunken sex and the amzing hurt stuff from Buffy and Xander in the BBC2 s6 one, Amanda that is damn cool plus Xander's speech and Clem! Clem meeting the SiTs! Clem, my utter hero! in the s7 one, and in Angel s4, Angelus. I'm stealing from Kita here. "Oh Baby we *missed* you." David Boreanaz is just so damn good as Angelus it's not true and we never get enough of the boy! Last Ep when he smirked in that last ten seconds I did do the dance of 'Hey na hey na my boyfriend's back.' As you must in these situatons. Plus the snerkdom of "Someone explain the whole Indiana Jones fixation he's got?" And Wes, of course, was magnificent. As was the rest of the cast. Apart from Cordy.

Today : the Ideal Home Exhibition. aka rabbit-warrens are us, it's impossible to navigate and you have to stop every hour or so for a break. Just exhausts you, plus slightly too warm. Some cool and interesting stuff, some boring and blah, but ye gods. six hours of it. meep.

Also appear to have been signed up for the X2 showing in Blackpool. okies. Also - costume toss-up is either Psylocke or Emma Frost. Psylocke is easier as it's modified cozzie, long gloves, long boots, straps of red and black, purple wig and make-up - and nearly all black. Can do the boots by way of long material bits over boots - only problem is flat boots. Where the hell does one get such things? Seriously. Flat boots look like a problem, I'm telling you. Emma Frost - it's the white that's the problem. White tight trousers, white corset-type thing, white jacket, white shoes... ergh.

FWIW I've seen flat boots in some of the cheap n nasty clothes shops in Liverpool city center.

Ah. darn costumes. I think my problem with costumes is that I don't actually buy clothes if I can help it, and what i buy is limited to non fashionable stuff. Brainstorm with me sometime, would you?
