Spent part of the evening watching Buffy and Angel, part of it re-organising Dark is Rising Slash, as a reminder to get my butt in gear and go start begging all the listmembers and commnity members for their fic. I've decided to do it the manual/old fashioned way as one look at the automated archive thingy and my brain scurried for less complex pastures.
Buffy and Angel... Well, first there was Season six goodness as Willow flayed Warren. I sat there through the whole ep with a big sappy nostalgic grin in place. Then I watched the ep where Caleb makes an appearance - believed to be Dirty Girls. (most of it - dinner intruded into the last ten minutes of that and first ten of Angel). And though I like Faith, I spent most of it wincing. This is what my previously beloved show has descended into? What y'all in the US have been moaning about? I don't think I've got the willpower to see it through except for mild curiosity about how they end it. though it looks to be such a fricking badly thought-out mess.
Angel was a happy place. There was Skip and everyone being business-like and gritty, and Darla (squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!), and fight scenes and Connor bon-bon being all confused (I was doing the requisite wincing at Charisma's acting/lines), and Wes showing just how well he can act with a few facial expressions and getting the bullet in the tiny hole where Angel ripped one of Skip's horns off. Fucking cool. And mmm, Jasmine.
