burntcopperOne of those days where you have a load of stuff planned, you do a small portion... and then you get sick. Yeah. Had sewing, ironing, last minute stuff to do and I should've been finished by 6, but the evil nasties got me. Got the laundry done, hung it out, Went to Waitrose, came back at 2, did exercises, went into kitchen to get lunch and came over all woozy. 3 hours on the frigging sofa unable to even contemplate food or standing up, and the time I tried to sew, it hurt to concentrate, so went to bed for an hour or so. Finally got better just before Buffy, watched Buffy while sewing (missed most of Angel due to dinner), most of it's done, just gotta iron it and contemplate doing a quick shoulder piece and taking in my waistcoat for the Liza Minelli outfit.
Will miss Eurovision as it's on this weekend. Sulk. Wanna watch the camp beyond camp show! (Americans and Aussies will not understand its importance)
Oh, and just got a distinctly odd email... Am presuming Kate and all you archive runners get these occasionally, but still...
Hi! This is ladygramarye. I just was reading on your site and I love it. I was wodering if you think there is any way to get all of the fics more together. I've looked at a few sites and most of the fics are the same. It seems like everybody has something that is on another persons site. I know that is because this is a rare fandom like you said, but it would be great to get all of the fics together.
I thought about fanfiction.net but that isn't really possible because of the content of most of the fics. I can if you and others don't mind put your url on my profile but I'm not really a writer, just a critic most of the time so I can't put in a story.
There are 73 fics on ffn.net and maybe those could be put up somewhere else also. I know some of them already have been.
There is a webring but what about a website that has almost everything about DiR and almost all of the fics in the same place? Do you know of one that you could tell me about? I have only just gotten into this, but I have been in fanfiction of all sorts for a few years.
There is a website called fictionalley that is like I'm talking about for Harry Potter and another one even closer to what I'm thinking called the KAEX archive. I can give you both addresses to check out if you want. The HP is just fictionalley.org and KAEX I would have to find.
I just wanted to ask someone about this and since I like your site I thought that I would ask you. I'm sorry if I've troubled you or made you mad in some way. Thanks for your time! Maybe your site would make a good base and then add more fics. I could help you find more and help in any way that I can.
One suspects she has no idea that we have lives and this takes time.... And that I have absolutely no desire to archive a lot of the fic on ff.net (especially not the het stuff), because, well, not to sound nasty, but quality is a big word that's absent there.

Ahem. So, yes, I understand your pain completely. *pats shoulder* Don't worry, there's always next year. Eurovision never lets you down.
