Spooky due to a fascination I've had with wolves since I was little, the amount of wolf dreams I've had, and my nanowrimo novel was about werewolves. Also, was never one of those people who wanted to be/rpg a vampire. Was much more interested in werwolfing it.
National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org). You sign up to write a novel (okay, more a novella) of 50,000 words or more between 00:00 1st Nov and 2400h 30th Nov. (the thing has been going on a few years now) Your social life becomes non-existent, your work colleagues ask what the hell you're scribbling about furiously during every single one of your breaks, and you discover what writer's block means.
It's not supposed to be any good. The whole purpose is so that you can thumb your nose at those people who say 'oh, god, I spent ten years of blood, sweat and tears trying to write my novel.'
