Have started jogging again. This time as soon as I get up, (though it took half an hour to convince self to get up this time) cos jogging's apparently basically just a calorie/fat burner, so best to do it with nothing inside you. The wobbly bits on the bum and thighs started protesting as they didn't like beng jiggled about so much, but were soon ignored. Didn't make such a disgrace of myself as I did the first time I did this back in October, wasn't really that much out of breath but was taking it easy....

This just proves it. I may come out generally as Eowyn, but hobbit I am at heart...

Right, as some of you may know, one of my *utter* guilty pleasures is the AresJoxerCupidStrife fic list - archive, regularly updated, here. Cheese, badfic, re-done plots ad infinitum, but damn, it's fun. Currently, Christine Porter and Heregerbabe are writing one set in the official AU-verse of Xena, where everyone's a reverse of their normal character - we got Ares God of Lurrrrrrve (constantly asking people if his butt looks big in this), Cupid God of War, Joxer the bad-ass (which has been known to put many, many fan girls into fits of swooning) Aphrodite the uptight, etc, etc.

However, they're writing one of those fics that has a cliffhanger every time. They've got to the stage of cliffhangers a go-go, and the current one is a doozy. Everyone on-list is screaming for the next part and demanding blood.

Plot : (stop me if you can't take the soap opera) Strife had massive crush on Cupid for ages. Cupid rapes him one day when he's pissed off and Strife is one last straw (no, he's not a nice boy), Strife gets pregnant, (Greek God pantheon is the only fandom where this could concievably happen as it's been recorded in the mythology at least three times) hides it from everyone, Cupid's meanwhile been slowly coming round to having at least some feelings for Strife, then when Strife turns up with the baby (she has wings, so it couldn't be anyone but Cupid's), Aphrodite slams on the edict that if a male god gets another preggers, they have to get married to him - Strife naturally is Not Happy even though he has no choice, and they've just done the move in together when Cupid's psycho ex Psyche decides in a fit of jealousy to kill the baby with Hind's Blood (those not knowing their mythology - one of the few ways to kill Greek Gods stone dead). Cupid goes utterly livid and demands retribution - permission to kill her. :deep breath: everyone still with me? Good. Anyway. We're at that moment and everyone's screaming at the authors for even more retribution. It's compelling viewing. :g:
