Between coughing fits at work, the plot bunnies started poking up, pointing out things that really should be done. Really.

Okies. First, we're going with the Sharpe/Riley thing. Where Riley and the Initiative are tracking down the Slayer, Elizabeth, Riley's girl from back in Iowa, and they're slightly affiliated with the Watchers, and Sharpe and the Chosen Men get assigned to work with them. There will be hating of Sharpe by Forrest, bonding between Forrest and Harper, general 'huh' from Graham and him and Hagman sitting around in quiet contemplation, and possible seduction of Riley by Sharpe. There will be historical details obsessiveness.

Then. Er. Faith popped up, asking what the hell I was doing writing a fic without her, so Faith popped up as Slayer #2, created when Buffy died for an instant a few years back. Gypsy with a load of guerilla style. And then she went 'I need a watcher. Wes, stop hanging around in the back and bring your shotgun.' So Wes has now joined the party, though I wasn't sure whether to have him as experienced Wes, Season 2 onwards, or BtVS Wes. Then I went 'He's hanging around with Faith, he's constantly doing guerilla stuff... of course he's bloody well going to be a hardcase.' Not quite season 4, though there will be elements of that in his character. Sharpe'll be a tad peeved at the fact that he can pass as a complete upper-class twit, though.

Faith pointed out that she would be shagging Wes no matter what. Then they individually started eyeing up Sharpe. So much so that I'm doubting whether Riley'll ever get a look-in in Sharpe's bed. They're also planning a threesome. Um. help?

Er. Also, how the hell I'm going to explain the Rossendale lookalike factor... Ah, sod it, this is going to go AU! Sharpe met Jane, liked her, promised her undying devotion, but never married her. Much easier.

Done large amounts of laundry. Pestering the bro to do his sheets. Got roused for driving lesson at 9:45 by my brother answering the door to my driving instructor - alarm had been set for 9am, but in true fashion, I woke up, turned it off and dozed off again. Stuck a new bell and lights on my bike. Was all set to put a new seat on it, that I've had hanging around for years, when it was discovered that my bike is a freak and won't take that seat. The whatsit for lowering/raising the seat is also stuck fast, so no go there...

After a ride to Pangbourne to get the second half of my pill prescription (they didn't have enough in stock last time), some money and bread, I am now fully convinced that I need a new bike. Seriously considering a road bike, which I can get for approx £200 from Freewheel, as I'm barely going off-road these days. [livejournal.com profile] the_oscar_cat, any opinions?

Cut up material for the skirt, figuring out construction and stuff in my head - going to need to buy some zips and silky material for the top band. Fortunately, said skirt is bloody easy - It's basically one piece of material, zip up the back, slits at the front for leg movement. Top will take a bit more thought, though. I'm foreseeing a lot of darts being necessary. One day I'm going to resign myself to getting a bloody sewing machine and learning to make things properly. Who knows, one day I may become a Tors or a Kristin... ETA: Three pieces of material to the skirt, only one layer. Interesting...

All you Nanowrimo'ers - know of any decent Nanowrimo communities? I've so far found [livejournal.com profile] clearlyinsane, [livejournal.com profile] 2003nanowrimo (which looks rather boring), [livejournal.com profile] nanoficcers and [livejournal.com profile] uk_nanowriters. Which to join, which to join... Opinions? And who's writing original and who's writing fanfic here?

Wrote a quick essay-type thing - notes on the new season for Deconstructing Wesley, from what I've been able to gather from all the US lot's commentaries. Yay? Nay? Yours truly won't get to see them until I get my fix from [livejournal.com profile] mingmerciless...
