Done large amounts of laundry. Pestering the bro to do his sheets. Got roused for driving lesson at 9:45 by my brother answering the door to my driving instructor - alarm had been set for 9am, but in true fashion, I woke up, turned it off and dozed off again. Stuck a new bell and lights on my bike. Was all set to put a new seat on it, that I've had hanging around for years, when it was discovered that my bike is a freak and won't take that seat. The whatsit for lowering/raising the seat is also stuck fast, so no go there...
After a ride to Pangbourne to get the second half of my pill prescription (they didn't have enough in stock last time), some money and bread, I am now fully convinced that I need a new bike. Seriously considering a road bike, which I can get for approx £200 from Freewheel, as I'm barely going off-road these days.
the_oscar_cat, any opinions?
Cut up material for the skirt, figuring out construction and stuff in my head - going to need to buy some zips and silky material for the top band. Fortunately, said skirt is bloody easy - It's basically one piece of material, zip up the back, slits at the front for leg movement. Top will take a bit more thought, though. I'm foreseeing a lot of darts being necessary. One day I'm going to resign myself to getting a bloody sewing machine and learning to make things properly. Who knows, one day I may become a Tors or a Kristin... ETA: Three pieces of material to the skirt, only one layer. Interesting...
