Driving lesson, circling jobs, getting so overheated on way back from Pangbourne that I almost fainted the minute I stepped into the house - as it was, had enough control to stumble to the kitchen, forced self to stay upright while guzzled water, then lay down in the hall, and didn't get up until my heartbeat went back to normal and my vision stopped swimming. Hmmp. Haven't fainted since that day at Virgin when I was dashing all over the place and overheated, aka 'how to scare customers when one of the till people collapses after finishing a phone call'. Prayed that would fully okay in fifteen minutes, as had convinced brain that driving lesson was at 1:00. Stupid self. Remembered ten minutes later that no, driving lesson was at 6:00. Watched most of yesterday's Sentinel, and no, I wasn't wrong re: possessiveness and jealousy. Managed to be a bit jittery when changing gears and lack of confidence at roundabouts. Next week we start on reversing, 3-point turns, which feel shouldn't be a problem as I used to have no problems previously. Now, parallel parking, on the other hand... Suspect lessons are going faster this time due to me having previous slightly-worn out experience. Oh, and he's said that when he comes to writing the book about his experiences as an instructor, my mishap on Monday with the sunglasses is going into the book. Basically I had them on top of my head, it got to being sunny when we stopped at an intersection and I couldn't see, so attempted to remove sunglasses from top of head and put them on my nose. Unfortunately, the pads that rest on the bridge of your nose got caught in my hair, and as I was wearing my customary plaits, this required pulling a large chunk of hair out of the plait. With extra struggles, as hair is a bit curly. Apparently it was somewhat amusing to watch. Today, wore the wraparounds I wear for anything exercise-like so there would be no chance of repeats.
Checked the requirements for being a paramedic - you start as ambulance assistant, graduate to ambulance tech, then to paramedic. The absolute needs are being 18 and having a full driving licence, and a clean criminal record. Some ambulance authorities require you to have 4 GCSEs, A-C. Just need to get my frickin' licence.
Reading porn. That is all.
