Croydon ho!
Mar. 15th, 2004 11:20 amSpent weekend lazing around, watching creation of costumes and many a dvd.
tirinar has some of the photos up that I took earlier in t'week, and when one gets home one shall need to catch up with lj on a major scale. As well as one's spam.
DVD's - League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - Yes, barely any resemblance to the book but dear god it's hysterical and joy-rideness. Especially when you've got me going 'aaargh, historical accuracy/book/weapons!' Alex going 'CGI!' and Tors going 'Costumes pretty!' And all of us going 'we love Dorian Gray way too much, we really do...' It's the classic human condition. Love style, worship style and panache. Not to mention contemplating and mentally casting people for costuming...
Daredevil is the squee. :goes looking for ebay: Also consisted of me and Alex going 'relation to comic book, hmm.' and me filling in Alex on all the Daredevil comic history (basically I know more than him on this one). Not sure, but I think Daredevil may be most faithful to comic book of all of 'em.
Princess Bride is merely a matter of squeeing our little hearts out and Tors threatening to gag me because I kept saying the lines along with them.
Underworld is, of course, all about Kate Beckinsale's shiny rubber-clad arse.
Nos night was a matter of introducing people to the concept of Smile Time, and watching the laughter, as well as
ladydchaos plying us with test tubes in the loos and Aftershocks outside, seeing if you could lift Big Steve, singing in the loos (appears I can go highest) and me being Tors' dress-up Barbie.
Went shopping in Croydon for trousers Tors hadn't let me near last time and discovered have now gone down to a size 12 (corroborated by Tors' leather trousers at Nos) by sitting around on arse and not doing any exercise.
