Weekend and other things
Apr. 26th, 2004 12:41 amI have the Nightwing issue where his apartment block gets blown up. Oh god. I need to cuddle Dick and I also need to collect as many Nightwing issues as possible. What issue did Devin start writing at?
Got phoned for an interview by that group from the University of Aberystwyth who were researching audience reaction and impact of ROTK. Said interview was only supposed to last 40 mins. It lasted 70. She even had to change the tape over. Fear me, my blabbering skills, and my media/history/culture analysis skills. Oh yes. You know you've got 'em hooked when they probe you for the exact analysis of epic, emotional engagement, epic meaning for our times, cultural impact on a generation, breakdown of myth and historical appropriation to convey ease of recognition when creating a world. Mwhahaha.
In other news, saturday was spent looking through toy shops and cheap shoe shops and stopping occasionally in drinking venues. And then letting Alex and Andy go to the model shop as a reward. It also disturbs me that the only place we could find upper arm jewellery is a costume shop, though the cheap jewellery place said he keeps getting enquiries for it, so there's definitely a demand. Abandoned all brain when faced by ruffs. I think I managed to cut enough strips for half of one. I look entirely stupid, but accurate in my fancy dress.
Tomorrow will be spent doing the LACAS report, with maybe a bit of costuming and going down the post office to post a video. It's scary how much Fusion has eaten my brain.
