burntcopper: (grin says it all)
Am scrounging up more comics to sell on ebay - last of my Hitman, Authority and Transmet issues, and am scanning a cover from each round for ebay pic. On scanning one of the Hitman ones, I remembered it's the first time Tommy and Natt meet Catwoman. In which they have possibly the most *sensible* reaction most straight males would have.

The summon Cats to talk about something she's involved in using a cat-signal. (don't ask. really. don't ask.) They talk, and then she leaves. Cue Tommy and Natt collapsing against each other in a puddle of drool.

"Did you see that? Did you see that smile?"
"Did you see that *body*?"
"Check out the whip...."

And then Tommy, says "Boy, it's times like this you really wish you had x-ray vision like they do in the comic books, huh?"
Natt : "Yeah...."

Next panel, it's Natt's reaction when he remembers Tommy *does* have x-ray vision. Tommy is leering as much as humanly possible, tongue out clamped in teeth.

Next panel. Natt fuming as Tommy does the voiceover.
"And let me just say I would crawl a mile over broken pepsi bottles just to lick her bathtub clean...."

SEE? Is this not a more realistic reaction to the presence of tall stacked sexbombs? The batclan you can understand the stoic acceptance, as they're used to her (though Bruce tends to snog/sleep with her whenever possible), but everyone else... there is no way Kyle Rayner, for instance, would not have the 'tongue rolled out across the floor' reaction.

And later, siege time in a building, Cats yells for Tommy to throw her a rifle.

"Though you didn't like guns?"
"I don't. Remember, boys" :strafes gangsters' cars forcing them to duck and cover: "All life is sacred."
Tommy and Natt, heads together, using a heart-shaped speech bubble : "She's *great...*"
