meme-itis - genre shows
Aug. 3rd, 2004 08:39 pmFavourite genre show of all time, people. With a quick explanation. I'm not making you do your top five, because that's just *cruel*. Though you may add a couple of your favourite quotes.
Robin of Sherwood
Well, er... I've been a Robin Hood fan since I was a baby. And I'm also a big believer in historical productions having as much mud as possible, as well as cynical bastards everywhere. Nearly everyone in this is a cynical bastard. At times it's fucking hysterical, and has the greatest Sheriff of Nottingham (sorry Alan Rickman, you're fabulous, but you're just not as good as Nick Grace) and Guy of Gisburne and set of Merry Men *ever*. Single-handedly resulted in my love for Ray Winstone, one of the few of them to have a long-standing career, and coloured my perception of Robin Hood forever.
Quotes :
"It's a wedding Gisburne, not a cause for celebration."
~Sheriff, Alan a Dale.
"Do you like handsome men, ma petit?"
"Yeah. Do you know any?"
~Templar + Meg of Wickham, Little John's girlfriend - Two Poor Knights from Acre
