Innocent Fete
Aug. 4th, 2007 08:56 pmWhich was silly and my god *crowded*.
Lots stalls and eco-stuff and samples and... I'm kinda regretting not picking up a bag at the time from one of the stalls.
Also a fairground. I saw the helter-skelter, dumped my bags with Jen and Megs and ran for it. Apparently you could hear high-pitched giggling. We took a bit of a swing-dance class, glared at a maypole dancing whatsit, (there were... complaints) and other things. Jen, the morris dancing turned out to be some sort of folk dancing plus a bit of morris, but female. and not drunk. Not bad but... not really what we'd want. Megs pretty much collapsed from heat exhaustion after a few hours.
After getting out at about 4:30, I blinked at the sheer amount of people coming up the broadwalk, just how tiny a bit of Regents' park it was taking up - seriously, take out the tents and people and I normally cross that entire bit in about 5 mins. Meandered some more around Regents' Park, usual route. Passed the site again at about 6, and it seems the bands on last were having way too much fun. Hee.

fanaddict has some salient points about the fact that it's specific people, and almost completely targeted on HP, plus timing here - looks like we've got people with a grudge within fandom reporting rather than lj going after specific people.
