Oh my. Pretty episode. We had Chopec Indians (Jim's old tribe in Peru) coming to get justice against an oil company that was encroaching on Chopec land, killing people and polluting. Jim loses his senses. Blair gets pouty because this would mean no excuse to ride along, confessing that he's got material enough for ten dissertations, he just doesn't want to lose Jim. Then adding the adrenaline rush from policing. :g: Jim going round loft in a towel, Blair giving appreciative glances...
Oh, and Jim getting chewed out by Incacha, the Chopec shaman, Incacha passing on the mantle of shaman to Blair. Then we had the fantastic scene of Jim going ballistic - and I mean losing it big time, yelling and crying when the morgue came for Incacha's body - screaming about rituals and defilement and no photos. Day-umn. With Blair yelling back, trying to calm him down as Jim went hysterical, then taking control of the situation. Wow. Just. Wow.
Blair also looks rather bouncy when he realised he's been gifted with shaman role.
Plus we got Jim pointing out that Bliar would hump a tableleg. Also? I'm damn sure Jim's old friend reckoned that when Blair said 'my partner's a police detective' he meant boyfriend. As well as Incacha's inability to stop grinning when looking at Blair and Jim. The man bloody well blessed their whatsit as Guide and Sentinel. It's a happy place I'm inhabiting...
