now watched two eps of Herc and two of Xena.

Is it me or are the Xena ones better written, acted, snappier and funnier? (with far better fight scenes) Or am I just seeing a bad sample?

Well, the few Hercules episodes featuring any of the following characters are usually well worth watching:-

Autolycus [Bruce Campbell, say no more...]

Ares [Kevin Smith was and is divine. Miss him heaps.]

Widow Twanky [Michael Hurst in panto dame drag!!!!]

Nebula [Gina Torres]

Yes, definately - Anything with Autolycus (in both Herc and Xena) rocks.

Xena got to have a little more fun / more adult stuff as it was the later show, but both had their fun bits :)
