Watched My Beautiful Laundrette for the first time in years, and it's... odd. A bit too stagey in places, goes nowhere, rather sweet in others. Not a bad little film. The synthesiser plinks disguising themselves as incidental music sent me running for cover occasionally, as did the evil 80s decor.

megolas, remember that wallpaper that was on your living room walls? Damn near exactly the same. And Daniel Day Lewis' *hair*. Oh dear god. Spent a large proportion of his scenes with my hand covering the bleached bit of his hair.
