You know you're in deep when you spend part of lunchtime looking at stilettos for your Daisy Duke costume. After some of it, I have concluded that myself and stilettos just do not work. Ever. How the hell do you balance or walk in the things? Now, if I could find equally strappy shoes with wider heels, I'd be fine. Looks like it's charity shop trawling time...

Also searched for Daisy Duke piccies, in the vain hope that at one time in her life, she wore something else besides stilettos. Anyone who watched Dukes of Hazzard, can you come up with any canon evidence for this? Any? Otherwise I'm wearing the glittery sandals I'm wearing the other two nights or my fuck-off big boots I bought yesterday.

I can't be too sure about DoH canon (I was watching Bo & Luke's... er.. cousinly interactions. *coughs*) in relation to Daisy. But I know for the late seventies period you can get away with wood/cork platform heels. Which do have the advantage of looking higher than they actually are. If that's any help?

I always thought she went barefoot. Bein' that she was a country gal and all.

But, yes, cork wedge sandals.

I have a mental impression of her teaming those tiny hotpants with a pair of cowboy boots - but I don't know if that's a real memory or something my subconcious made up! But going with the previous comments, I could visualize her in cork wedges; I reckon that would work...
