burntcopperSpent nye at Tors + Andy + Chewtoy's. Also there - Neil (Silent Bob), Claire + Sloopy. On the way there, got text from Tors to say 'Andy has declared costumes. If you do not have, we will provide.' Greeted at bus stop by Tors in Magenta costume... Gold tailcoat, let's just leave it at that. Andy + Chewie were Jack + Daniel respectively, and of course slash comments made all night. Claire in Sailor Moon outfit (green hair) + Sloopy in pirate. Tors is evil. She put me in the Buffybot outfit and schooled me in the correct lines, as I already have the hair and can do Tour Guide Barbie. She kept threatening to shave me bald as apparently it's perfect for a costume and they don't do wigs like it. Andy said to watch for the sound of a razor during the night. Were various changes during t' night - Oz wolf, Mcgee's Alice, Neo, me into boots and sparkly string vest - but still in the skirt. It bounces, and is far too addictive. You keep bouncing. Plenty of costume geeking throughout, including costume websites at which we kept howling 'wrong!'. Fear the geekery. Came up with some interesting ideas, including where to get wings for possible Authority or Stormwatch Black - as well as volunteers for Midnighter + Apollo. Their plans for group ones are indeed wondrous. Were going through comics discussion, with costume comments aided by Fox Kids on tv. Suggestion of Ghost, so it seems I am doomed to all-white for foreseeable future.
Other stuff - watched SG-1 eps - Groundhog day one, which is hysterical in too many ways to describe - let's just mention eyebrows, Jack doing the translation, juggling and golf as highlights - and Wormhole Xtreme. :snerk: Oh, and me eating salsa using a bottletop. With Chewie going 'see, that's what happened to the last jar!'. Plus cartwheels in the hall.
Next morning / afternoon, orangutangs and chimps on the Discovery Channel, and viewing of bits of 10th Kingdom. Which is strange, enjoyable, Scott Cohen is a god as Wolf, and me and Neil sneering at main character's issues. 'If this was British, and she said 'My mum left' as her excuse, she'd get asked '....so?'. Plus 'what's the big deal? It's money, use it, no bloody guilt.' And 'What's so great about their lives in NYC that they're so desperate to get home? Stay and sleep with the bastard!'
