I watch squaddies fight werewolves. So far, (about half an hour in) Dog Soldiers is good. Funny, and you really can't beat a flying cow landing in the middle of a campsite.

Also went to see Peter Pan. Very pretty. Very close to book for feel and had me going 'say the line. say the line.' You don't realise how much you know some of these lines of the book until you start doing that. They've bloody gone out of my head again, of course, so I can't quote them at you. Anyway. Look gorgeous, nicely dark in the right places, the French bird playing Tinkerbell is hysterical - it's all miming and expressions. Not the cutesie playboy girl of Disney. Lost Boys and Peter and Tink are in animal skins and vines and leaves. Peter's good, Wendy's fantastic, and the brothers are a riot. And Teddy! Teddy!

Pirates.... ooo yes. Someone up there likes me, for we have pirates, and Jason Isaacs having even more gleeful fun then he had as Lucius Malfoy, so that tells you something. Great throwaway lines from the pirates, which I am not going to spoil for anyone, but suffice it to say I wants the DVD when it comes out. Oh, and also sexual in the right places, which I admit is an odd thing to say, but these blokes have got it perfect.

:palms hair: need to re-dye hair, so will do it later tonight, after film, or tomorrow.

I only saw Dog Soldiers a few weeks back and really enjoyed it. OK so I might have just been hiding a little at the ripping and guts, but it was great and not as predictable as I first thought.

Absolutely agree with you on the sexual elements of Peter Pan. The whole story is about Wendy's burgeoning adulthood, of which sex is naturally a part, and I think they played it very nicely.
