pubmeet v. relaxed yesterday. discussion of food, plotbunnies and writing, a bit of tv and so on.

Only problem. due to lots of discussion of writing... I suddenly realised I haven't given a single thought to nanowrimo. ERK. With absolutely no plotbunnies on the backburner. DOUBLE ERK.

Seriously. The circle village thing, which i always thought had been a possible, seems to work a hell of a lot better as a short from outsider POV (and yes, I know I haven't finished the Jack Harkness story of that.) due to it being a plotless universe - as i described it yesterday when we were talking writing, it's one of those that would work as a sitcom/serial drama base, not a novel length story. The only other things I have in the notebooks are the MI7 (weird happenings organisation) snippets, which are basically crap, Apocalypse Albion doesn't really go anywhere beyond a few snippets, and some ongoing bits from the Narnia 'if they stayed' 'verse, which is a continuation of the Nano last year - Pevensies and Caspian and Eustace during the years pre-VotD. Most of them from the POV of Eustace or Edmund's husband, all about the weirdness of the Pevensies. Which does not make a story. GAH.

I'm so screwed.

It was a really nice afternoon, I can only agree with you there. Thanks again for making a (relative) new guy feel very welcome.

As for the NaNo situation, I’m sure that ideas will spring forth. There’s nothing like an approaching deadline to concentrate the mind, after all… Stuff the problem into your subconscious for a bit and let the other side of your brain work on it for a while.

Also, panic=adrenaline=ideas. Hopefully…
