Just had a PS on the end of an email from someone buying some of my ebayed comics.

'This may seem a strange question but, Isn't Heather a woman's name? If
it is this is the first time a buy comic from a woman.'

Apparently my comic shop is an oddity, having at least 1/4 customers of the feminine variety. Apparently the fact that it also sells all manner of fantasy gaming stuff and manga and anime helps a lot. Girls get drawn in whilst squeeing over their manga. Which reminds me, Eroica is due to be published in translated version by DC sometime soon...

:pummels dir fic that's been taking years I tell you, *years*: Honestly, I can bang out 50,000 words of plot, porn and dialogue in a month but can't do a two-page vignette.

I've been trying to sell some of my & my mothers comics on e-bay but without any luck. Do you have any suggestions or tips? I'd really appreciate anything.

I'm sorry if this is inappropriate since you don't know me.

.... I have very few tips, since I tend to have a formula :

First, stick 'em up as cheap as you can. (this also keeps your ebay costs down) 50p for single comics.

Second, small batches, preferably in story arcs. The less people have to pay for postage the happier they are.

Third, stick a line in there on either who's on art/writing duties but most importantly, any special features of the issues, like what storyline it is or a special appearance.

Fourth, *any* picture is good. Get your digital camera/scanner working.

Fifth... accept that some weeks those comics won't sell, simply because the people who want them didn't visit ebay. Wait a couple of weeks and try again.
