On watching tacky old films at 2am...

Watched The Blue Lagoon. In which the cinematographer said 'bugger this, let's have lots of shots of wildlife whenever possible!'. Rather sweet and innocent in its way, and if you think about it, fairly realistic for the time. Also stuck very closely to the book, aside from the baby's name.. (guess not many could cope with calling the little boy 'Hannah', and it does make sense for them to call him after the old sailor they were first marooned with.) The book's got less of the creeping dread about the tribesmen into human sacrifice and Richard's realisation about the skeletons being insaide you, but not bad. The nudity becomes fairly commonplace due to them specifically not giving a toss about it.
Of course, soon as the film ends and they get rescued by Richard's father, you do wonder how the hell they're going to cope with Victorian society. Two fairly innocent kids with no idea about repressive, restrictive social mores, who have no problems with nudity and have a baby son... hoo boy. Definitely interesting. The book poses this question, which is commendable, but ends at the same point as the film, which is discovery in the boat.
