To all those who read the evil that is this, Dick meeting the Fab Five, and mind you, I'm not saying that I have written continuing notes or anything, should I bother with the 'big event' at the end or just the fact that these fairy godfathers of style and taste have been inflicted on him?

Big event. Dick's tough, it takes a lot to really make him suffer (a lot or 30 seconds with Bruce) so you should go all out.
