I collected X-Men - and a couple of rather short-lived offshoots - in high school in the 80s, but stopped when I went off to college, as there was no decent (or even indecent) comics shop within hundreds of miles of my alma mater. I started back up again with Neil Gaiman's Sandman stuff - can't remember what got me there, actually, but although I didn't go issue to issue with those I did buy the QPs right as they came on sale from roughly the fourth collection on. I got some Hellblazer on the strength of those, and also the Books of Magic; I've found the latter uneven, but am reliably informed that the more recent issues have improved, so I'll probably hunt those up next time I have any disposable cash to speak of (like, say, in January when my next law-school loan comes in). I collected Strange Paradise for a while. I bought and loved the first collection of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen; I bought and disliked enough to return the second such collection. I searched around and eventually found all six books of Omaha; it ended rather in medias res, which I find frustrating, but what there is is well worth it.
I've also got a volume of Queen and Country on my shelves, as well as all but one issue of Ellis's Global Frequency and the first four issues of 1602.
