Pondering comics choice

Okay, I know everyone has a preference on storylines. What I'm wondering is, where do people stand on the type of story?
People that know me know of my utter slavish devotion to noir. I read *Batman* for preference, for gods' sake. Closely followed by Green Arrow, Warren Ellis (who tends to slip between noir and completely fucked-up sci-fi nuttiness), 100 Bullets, Powers and suchlike. When they brought out Gotham Central I squeed like a mad thing. Detective no. 27, the Batman Elseworld (and yes, there are immense amounts of Batman elseworlds that are Raymond Chandler-esque - they just fit so well). One of my all-time fave minis was this little one from Image called Siren, which was like a pre-runner to Powers, only PI based with quieter powers. Sin City I loved pre-it going bloated and overworn. Gimme detectives and dark nasty streets and sleazy bars and I start salivating. This partially explains my deep, deep love of The Shield and other detective-cop based tv. If they ever bring on more Ultraviolet I'll be in heaven.
A seconder to that does tend to be anything with pulp overtones. Things like American Century, which is a long cruise through the Fifties pulps made flesh. Hopper paintings. Planetary, which loves to rework those pulp cliches. Edgar Rice Burroughs and anytime someone does an au in fic reworking Tarzan.
So what the hell do you lot favour?
