Had a few days of drought on nano, most frustrating, although at least on friday night the porn bunnies came back (see Heather go finally, I thought you'd forsaken me!) just before I fell asleep and provided me with inspiration for the Sheriff/Gisburne sex scene that stalled on sunday. Didn't get a chance to go near the comp all saturday except for snatched moments of deleting mail, due to having to it being busy.

First, meeting [livejournal.com profile] kestrelsan for coffee while she's making a stop in her England holiday. Hot chocolate with marshmallows, comfy chairs and a few hours of mad fandom talk and giggling and gossiping about various shared fandom experiences and 'oh god, that _insert video here_', with Firefly and Sports Night and Angel and Dark is Rising and HP talk all over the place, with added moaning about both of us really not quite getting the manga style for fanart, as there's just some times it doesn't really work. As well as going over the 'teenagers have sex too. Especially if they're underage. Also, Draco does *not* have long hair while he's at school. He's fourteen, british and at public school. That hair hits the collar, see his fellow schoolmate attack with clippers.'

Then went off for gossip and wedding talk and such with childhood mates Steph and Laura (she's the one getting married), and the disturbing realisation that we've known each other for over 20 years. TGI Fridays, where we have sworn to wreak vengeance on the girl who manages the tables for not bothering to even look for us when she'd claimed she'd buzzed us (turned out we had faulty pager) and called over the tannoy. Especially when there was a clear line of sight from the door to us at the bar. Grump. Ate a bit too much and introduced more people to the caipurinha. [livejournal.com profile] mingmerciless, soon we shall have got everyone to try this thing...

Later, it's Bridget Jones viewing time avec parentals.

Okay, that? Would make such a great story.

strange hair fetishist, thou...

Seriously. I had to lay the smackdown on people on the HP slash list about this when they were going into raptures about Draco's long hair. Me 'he so would not'. Them : 'what are you, like totally square?' Me : 'No, *English*. He's at school. Not only would school regulations not allow him to have long hair, the fashion for the past several years has been short. Very short. (at the time, near skinhead). His fellow pupils would have held him down and attacked with the clippers.' Them : 'er....'

Being a veteran of boarding school, not so sure about the fellow pupils bit but certainly pretty much every member of staff, housemaster, teachers, headmaster and so on clapping eye on any boy with excessively long hair (touching the collar etc) would be ordered off to get a haircut immediately.

Glad to hear it. Caipirinha is a criminally underrated cocktail.
