Snow!

It's snowing. And it's not even the end of December yet. To understand how odd this is, understand that I live in the south of England. A place that fully benefits from the gulfstream and is thus warmer than almost any point at the same latitude. We don't normally get snow until December. It's been snowing for almost 2 hours now - not settling, because it's still a bit warm and it was raining earlier. But still. Snow!

And at the same time? We're having a freakishly warm spell in DC. Now, we don't usually get snow until January, but it's usually pretty damn cold nonetheless.

And here I am in Glasgow, wishing for it to snow, and it is stubbornly refusing to (even though it's been 0 or below for most of the last 24 hours). Today was bright and sunny. Sunny !

I was talking to my sister earlier, and she mentioned the snow. I complained, because I want snow and up here it's all just cold and sunny. Bah, silly weather.

I missed the snow! I flew back to America yesterday, bah.

Also, let me just tell you what a *fabulous* time I had chatting with you in the cozy cafe with the to-die-for hot chocolate. I still need to look for some urls and such I said I'd send you, but expect an email from me in the next couple of days :).
