burntcopper | New Years' costume..

Is basically a white version of the 'sexy santa girl' outfit. With added white fur legwarmer-bits; I call it snow bunny. But anyway, the top is near finished - just got to sew the lining to the inside and hem it. Skirt, hem and add zip, then sew the lining to the inside. (lining in both cases is finished) That's Tuesday's job. Also, am impressed, since I used actual clothes for the patterns rather than a paper one. And the top fits perfectly! Hah!

Also done today : collecting the tree, where I wore old trousers that are now over two sizes too big for me. Scary. However, saw some girl in most idiotic wear for tramping around Yattendon christmas tree area - which no longer has as much mud as it used to, since they put concrete down for the car park and wood chip over the tree area, but it's still bloody dirty - pink suede slouch boots. It's bad enough seeing people in relatively smart wear - c'mon, they're going to be lugging a pine tree around - but suede boots? Indeed, I spotted her again when we lined up to pay and sections were definitely never going to be pink again.

Tree and house now decorated, and parental urge for tackiness regarding tree decorating is once again fought off for another year. Ta-da!
