All right, who here doesn't have a username that is somehow inspired by fandom?

[livejournal.com profile] megolas is rather obviously LOTR-induced.
[livejournal.com profile] kabukivice comes from a comic and the title of a tv soundtrack. Gunbunny is the old name of a BoP villain. And considering I started using it the instant she changed to Pistolera, that gives you the exact amount of time I've been known by it.

I don't.

Jamjar. I can't remember why it chose it, only that I twigged soon after that JAM is also my initials. I don't know why it took that long, since it was commented on regularly while I was at school.

And before that, pre-lj, I was magpie, because I couldn't thinkof a name and there were magpie's outside my window, and I could recognise a certain "ooh! Shiney new fandom!" tendency in myself.

Me? Although I do have a fandom-y version of it with Souldo... but that came after, and as a joke.

Does Flash Gordon count as fandom?

Yes!

And my name isn't fandom based in the slightest. I was originally 'Lioness' on Yahoo! and then everyone was calling me Kitty, add a version of my name et voila.

On the same sort of note as Ming- does my cat count as a fandom? OK, the word was LEARNT from Sailor Moon, but it's a valid Japanese word/foodstuff outside of it, and I might well have found out about it some other way.

I've cheated, I have. Because my name spans all fandoms.

Although technically it was inspired by a line in "I Only Have Eyes For You." So...

Usernames

My main username is inspired by the main character in a novel i'm writing called Celie (Cecile Amerie Antoinette Flambard for sunday best) who is a vampire hence... you're all intelligent people, you figure it out. The other I use 'cartersgirl' is Stargate SG1 related and also handily describes me and my partner as she's also a Carter.

Obviously my username on here is jut my name coz I got a journal before I realised that was potentially stupid. Everywhere else my username is a variation on Sydney Bristow from Alias

Mine's from Greek Mythology. That's not fandom, is it?

It's a form of geekdom, which is basically fandom.
