In a week where I love the GCPD so much it's not true..
Gotham Central. Oh Renee, sweetheart... :hugs: The continuing parents not talking to her and actually dealing with that because she's no longer #1 daughter because of it, and then her yelling at Bats and then jumping her girlfriend... :hugs again:
Hospital! Beat cops and everyone ringing around and promising to hold whoever's responsible down while the beat cops stamp on 'em... squee! This comic pushes so many of my buttons it's not true.
And how much do I love them for the Keystone stuff, starting with the Barry Allen shout-out just in his normal work capacity, remembered as a really good cop, and right up through 'you have your own profiler?'
Nightwing. With the Babs manipulation and Oracle-ness but not there yet and then Jason's anger at Dick coming on the scene and Dick's understandable anger and concern over the replacement factor plus wondering how much training he'd had. Aww. But we also, as
monkeycrackmary said, we had CROTCH. CROTCH OF VIOLENCE. Jason, that thing better be armoured. Ah, Bruce screws up once again. The writers are starting to take a very dim view of Bruce and his plans, yes they are. But awwww, Alfred! :points vengefully at Croc: Harm one hair on his head and you shall suffer.
Detective Comics. We had Freeze and Bruce going after a girl and rage about some high society parents not caring and... eh. As Robin said, 'you're obsessed and this is a wee bit ridiculous.' Back up story of the circus case came to an end this issue, unfortunately not one of the good ones, since it was overall too confused and at the same time didn't have enough happening.
LOTDK. Riddler of newness. Not so much flirting this time but oooo pretty double and triple think. Five million back-up plans and it's all about the brains and who thought farthest ahead. Obligatory fight scene against 'world's best fighters' but Bats wins, as you know he's going to. Nicely vicious, too. But still, this issue was all about the chess moves and the plans within plans. And Eddie, sweetheart? Everyone cheats. Even Batman.
Green Arrow. Roy! In the bank with the office supplies and the trying to defuse the bomb and the Checkmate reference and I have too much love. Rest of it - mostly fight scene. Good fight scene. With limitations of arrows and getting tossed around and Mia complaining that they're fighting Kentucky C-3POs. I just love the way they work together as a family so well. It's serious contrast to the Bats.
