burntcopper...huh. Was it me or were the mainstream Bat books kind of 'meh' this week? Solid plotting, decent dialogue, no-one really went nuts or whatever but nothing to really grab you. Though the mini clayface story in the back of Detective this week was frankly adorable. Plus there was Alfred. And 'the last clean batsuit'.'Why do they always go for the car?' Shotgun! Hee.
Gotham Central : I squee. Lots. Not much action, but hospital waiting and Dr Alchemy pissing them off for the hell of it by insulting Montoya and Allen on their race and sexuality, with the nasty little digs and statistics, and little things like procedure and the Flash souvenirs in Keystone airport. The absolute beauty of Montoya's dad coming to see her, and daria asking him to stay... Hmm, Bat at end. This will be interesting.
Green Arrow : interesting, well plotted and paced, mostly just fight scene, but well done. :hugs the Roy and takes him away from mean assassins: The Outsiders presence was a bit of an off-note, though.
Nightwing : Devin's back! My girl is ba-ack! I like Dixon, I really do, but Devin's just... this whole thing with the mafia/gangsters and Dick's 'things I won't do', and the little bits like the daughter and so on, not to mention their commentary. Dammit, backstory on how he got here from the work he was doing with Bruce in Gotham as Nightwing, woman. These two things do not compute.
