People's war reporter
May. 9th, 2005 05:38 pmBBC are doing this thing where they're collecting ordinary people's stories for a web archive. Yours truly volunteered to help. So trotted along for a veterans' gathering at library, got fed tea and cake, and typed frantically, going 'arrgh, can you repeat that? Slow down! Um, elaborate on that bit?' God knows what the spelling mistakes are like.
Also had photo taken as a group for local paper. :flinch: I do not *do* local paper stuff, since this will get parents and neighbours going 'oooo, you were in the paper!' If I'm going to be in the paper, I would prefer it not to be as a cutesy human interest thing. The last time I was legitimately in it, it was when I got my head bashed in, and there was no photo or name. At least he didn't make us hold our thumbs up.
