WE WON! MWHAHAHAHAHAH! THE ASHES ARE OURS, OURS I TELL YOU!

(I normally have bugger all interest in cricket. I only have a hazy notion of how they score. But like the rest of the UK, I have been nervously asking how it's going every time I'm near a radio or someone with the BBC Sports page open.) For the past few weeks, the UK has actually been ignoring the football. That's what it's been like here.

Woot.

I even had a little cricket watching club at lunchtime in the classroom (and I know how they score, and we're in Scotland, it's that infectious).

Funny thing is, women in sport in the UK tend to do better, in general, than their male counterparts.
That fact amuses me greatly.

At lunchtime? When I have to work in the afternoon? No such luck...

Was good though. Trafalgar Square packed solid. They had screens up and showed clips from the games and interviewed the players, then we all sang Jerusalem! :-)

(glad to see you're still talking to me btw...)

I feel the need to find some Aussies to torment...

Plenty of Aussies on AFP.
