(I normally have bugger all interest in cricket. I only have a hazy notion of how they score. But like the rest of the UK, I have been nervously asking how it's going every time I'm near a radio or someone with the BBC Sports page open.) For the past few weeks, the UK has actually been ignoring the football. That's what it's been like here.
