There is just so much to squee about this. The acting, the lines, the effects... oh god, the effects. My dad's words : 'There are no budget constraints when you can wipe the floor with ITV's ratings like this.' Also,miniosiris's hubby Paul has pointed out that the Beeb have just wiped the floor and thrown down the gauntlet to the US shows, because they've just done fantastic effects and make-up for a fraction of the cost that the US shows do and done it *better*.

Date: 2005-12-27 03:26 am (UTC)Tennant definitely impressed (was worried he wouldn't cut it), loved the Arthur Dent ref. Shame about Harriet Jones would have liked to see more of her but let on nicely to Torchwood.
Want to see more UNIT, hoping there will be a Brigadier type character who'll be Dr's liaison that will cross with Torchwood, but we'll see.
Also did love the "Harriet Jones, Prime Minister" "Yes, we know who you are." throughout.
