burntcopper: (just try it)

Watched SGA s2 e15 and 16. I'm sorry, but after watching ep 15, 'The Tower', there is no way you can convince me that Shep is straight in the *slightest*. Oh, and *so married*. Also, seriously skeptical that he slept with princess girlie. The last bit when they're kissing - which he's not actually enjoying - he pulls away and goes 'excuse me, *what*?' at something she says, and the next thing you see is when he's going 'what's with Mara being in my room?', implication that he kicked her out very soon after that. There's no further intimation that she got any further than the kissing in the rest of the ep.

Also, in those two eps, it's clear that Ronon and Teyla rock mightily.

computer was making 'low disk space' noises. Mostly due to sheer amount of tv I have on there. Decided that whilst burning the 2 SGA eps to cd so I could remove them from disk, I might as well hunt down things like old screensavers and uninstall them, so opened 'add/remove programs'. This was where I discovered that I need to get rid of the Quark Express demo I have on there (I don't use it, and if I need it for a job, I'll simply download it again). Haven't gotten rid of it yet because the uninstall program kept screwing up the cd burner - do that tonight. Then did a scroll-down of the programs, seeing how big some were (some are surprisingly tiny) and then did a double take on seeing Forte Agent, which I use for my newsreader. OVER SIX FUCKING GIGS? It seems this program had been reading messages, never deleting them even though the option is selected to say 'old messages and anything deleted go in the Trash folder, which gets emptied every time we close the program' and also storing all the messages from newsgroups I'm not even subscribed to (only subbed to alt.fan.pratchett, which I use once in a blue moon, around convention time). To put it simply, reader, I dumped it, and felt that happy glow of 7 free gigs of disk space on my comp. After that, I was feeling so nice, I even de-fragged my hard drive.

6 gig... ouch.

Personally, I would use Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/) for newsgroups. Either that or Google Groups (http://groups.google.com/).
