Yesterday was pub meet, where things were discussed, Kopparberg was drunk, and food was eaten. Got given a belated birthday pressie by
mingmerciless (though he had the excuse of being on the other side of the world - work peeps gave me a 'er, sorry this is over a week late' card and earrings and bracelet on Friday. Which I am wearing now. They're very pretty.)
Have finally figured out why I wasn't getting eyelets to go on right. Turned out I'd been using the wrong attachment on my pliers. Currently putting the eyelets on Teyla top, after cutting out the base parts - have to cut and sew the detail bits and put buckles on shoulders. Waiting for skirt pattern to appear from America so I can make the fucker, and the blue velvet version. If I have time, may also make the chinese-style top of Teyla's. Because it's pretty. If not, I can finish it post-Pegasus. I find myself distinctly amused by the Teyla gear. Costumes I want to and damn well *will* wear outside conventions.
Have bought hair dye, tea tree oil, er... two sets of trainers. One for sport (and why, *why* were nearly all the ladies' made-for-sport trainers I saw accented with light blue or pink? Seriously. I saw one fully white pair and one with silver accents. Have you looked at our clothing? Or even the sports clothing? Women like other colours. Red, for instance, is particularly popular. As is black.), one for general and work wear. Still, got 'em both for just under 100 quid.
