Yes, these would be the blokes who do en pointe. At the moment, my brain is gibbering slightly, since you spend the first act (this program was La Sylphide) pissing yourself - seriously, entire audience wetting themselves - with the bitchiness, piss-takes, *Nureyev* piss-takes, sleep-walking and gossipping. (yes, you heard me right. Sleepwalking). Second act we had Mystery de Pas de Deux, Go for Baroque, Raymonda's Wedding and the Dying Swan. This lot was the occasional giggle with diva behaviour or the chorus, (aside from the Dying Swan, which was giggle-a-minute, feathers going *everywhere*) but mostly we just sat there with our mouths open at the skill. We'd seen the fact that the company obviously had skill in the first act, since you have to be good to be that bad, but lower jaws spent 90% of the second part on the floor. Jumps. Twirly things. Other twirly things. Gulp. There was a reason they got many, many minutes of sustained clapping, and that is the quote 'Christ, if the girls are half as good at this stuff as the blokes....' I read a piece where the Trocks were described as the foremost experts on classical Ballet Russe dance down to the nanosecond. Now I believe it.

Have found out that Graham has never seen any Matthew Bourne. Not even Swan Lake on tv. This will be rectified.

work day tomorrow. Speeches. powerpoint slides. workshops. Blegh. Hmm. Considering the state of the streaming cold plus I'm running a temperature, I may be able to beg off early. Plus sneezing several times this evening. Possibly citing infecting everyone else.

Oh my god, just realised I'm running a community for a main tv show. Oh. Shite.

The Trocks are wonderful! OMG! This means you were next-dorr to where I work ... plz tell if you're going to do that again.

I shan't be seeing them this time around, since I saw that proagramme earlier this year (TWO visits to the Peacock! How we are blessed!)

Yeah, I'm in love with one of the chorus-line; petite Asian one who doesn't get enough good roles *grr*. And who can NOT adore Ida Nevasayneva when she does her Dying Swan?

Ida the black one with fabulous style who got extra applause? (didn't get the program) She's on the leaflets sitting on the ground in the tea shot.
