Just finished ep 1 of S2 Entourage. I really didn't need another show to get hooked on, but I love the boys too much, and I've just seen Lloyd for the first time. awww. Trying to decide whether this is a burn or delete show. (to clarify : Burn I want to watch again - Dr Who, SGA, BSG. Delete is stuff I love, but probably won't want to re-watch after first viewing - The Shield and L-Word were like this.) Need to get them off my harddrive anyway, since I have Jeeves and Wooster to dl, not to mention S3 of Entourage and this week's Robin Hood for the burn category. I love my fantastically silly show which wears its rainbow jumpers with pride, really I do.
Vince and Eric only get gayer for each other as the series goes on. Mind you, it is HBO, so we can always live in hope that it becomes canon at some point.
Have to finish my Five things SGA/Jack Harkness fic before sunday. Arse. Because it's a what if/something Jack did pre-Torchwood, and I need to get it in before Torchwood says anything about the intervening time between Game Station and Torchwood. Still, at least I have the five things topics fleshed out now, thanks to a convo with
katemonkey, and two of them done and dusted, aside from beta-ing. Not all of them can be about Jack's willingness to sleep with anything, no matter how amusing I might find it.
That How Many of Me in the US meme gives me 405 with my first name and surname. Bet there aren't that many in the UK, since a) Heather is not a common UK name, and b) it's mostly popular with those of Scots descent, not the scottish. It's like Shannon if you're of Irish descent. I have no scottish blood that we know of and I was named after a family friend. Who was also not Scottish. There is someone named after me, but from what I remember, her mum was spanish. (I only received the news about the naming through the grapevine at the time - 'you know so-and so's au pair was pregnant? They've named the baby after you and Steph!') However, I'm fairly secure in the knowledge (and a few internet searches) that I'm unique in my full name, so neurgh. Such is the advantage of having a Cornish surname as one of your middle names. Mind you, I'm in agreement with Dad : My brother really needs to give the surname Tisecke/Tyzack as a middle name to any of his male spawn. It's a family tradition that died out around WWI, and needs to be revived for the purpose of amusement and watching the child try to spell it.
