burntcopper | first day of nano

Well, did about 45 minutes last night, and it's progressing relatively well so far*. Admittedly I'm writing a set-up scene in which I introduce Ellie's family and home life, and thus get to drift from room to room, but at least there's been no stalling. Stalling will probably come later.

*Nano is far, far easier when it's an idea you've had for some time and thus have most of everything and the universe worked out in your head already - 995 of my notebooks are original fic ideas, many of them ridiculously derivative, but it's good fuel for when I want to mess around with other stuff.
