burntcopperword count : 29, 808. I rule. And if I keep going at this rate, it'll be finished by saturday. My only worry being on whether I can get 20,000 words out of the next two balls, what happens in between, and the grovelling I'm going to make Jack do post first ball. I mean, you always go extra wordy when writing nano, it's automatic. Pondering how much I can get out of the Forster family reaction, not to mention fleshing out the King's role, plus a bit of Buttons angst. I may have to resort to flashbacks if I'm desperate.
I have a sudden urge to watch Enigma. Huh. And for some reason want fic. I have no idea what for, or what characters. I just... want fic. Even though this is a film/book that doesn't need fic in the slightest, (though I've read at least one piece somewhere) I just want fic. As in many things, I think the phrase to use here is 'blame Jeremy Northam'. It's not even like I want porn, which is always a case of 'blame Jeremy Northam'.
Due to writing this in a) semi-Jane Austen era and b) this being a re-write of Cinderella, I was craving Pride and Prejudice and Ella Enchanted last night. Cravings have been staved off for the moment. Will probably resume when getting Jack to grovel.
