OH. MY. GOD.

:thud: :hyperventilates:

First, ep = so the best so far.

And yay, the reactions of CID to Torchwood! I've been waiting for this since ep 1. The Jack-detective banter's fantastic.

'Bit dressed up for a murder scene.'
'Would you prefer me naked?'
:eyeroll: 'Oh, god the rumours are true.'

And of course, later her getting the entirety of CID to crowd around the phone and getting Jack to repeat himself. As well as him now owing her 20 quid. We love Cardiff CID, really we do. There needs to be fic written from the POV of the Welsh police department.

Suzie rules. Insecure as hell, but still rules. Owen is clearly the office bike. Also long term planning like that? My god. Mind you, am thinking that she said the stuff about something in the dark coming for Jack was just to fuck with him.

Tosh absolutely refusing to look at Suzie/be in the same room with her if she can due to the fact she a) creeps her out, and b) murdered 3 people. B is very, very understandable.

Jack being very firm about killing Suzie. And then trying to keep aerating her.

Understand that we shall all bow before King Ianto, join his cult of coffee and um.... purchase stopwatches.

I mean, I was loving him from the beginning when he seemed to be old flirty snarky Ianto again - finally got a bit of equilibrium back - when he said that he liked pressing the button to Owen. And unlike Ford in SGA, he is allowed to name *everything*. Little observations about gloves coming in pairs. STOPWATCHES. :thud: I just started going OMG OMG at the end bit.

Though spec on how long this has been going on - I'm with the theory that it's been going on since long before Lisa died, because of how they did the flirting previously and the kiss/Jack's pissed off look in countrycide and general outraged betrayal. Feelings there, methinks, of some sort. They just never actually said anything about it to the rest of the team. Ianto was shagging Jack but compartmentalising it. Lisa death, he gets back on an even keel, starts shagging Jack again.

Though er, I thought the Torchwood guns were fairly normal guns. I presume the glove's made of something fairly brittle to be able to shatter like that from one bullet.

Also, question due to seeing this way too many times.

One of the servers at MIT is called Frodo. Anyone have any connections/regular viewings of urls at MIT and know if the rest are Tolkein related?

No actual access but from personal experience of server names, there is bound to be a couple more Tolkien related server names. And possibly Larry, Curly and Moe.

I personally spent three years working off a server named after the Enterprise, so....

Tolkien is a frequent source of names for network servers, especially at the academic end of things. Hell, ISTR the remote access system at Imperial's Department of Computing was called Gandalf.

I also recall my hosting provider having servers called Luggage and Rincewind.
