Today was supposed to be spent having a look around the market for things like presents. Going to sainsburys for bread and biscuits and milk.

But no, today was spent having a migraine. No energy, headache, dozing off for an hour at a time, getting out of bed for water or the loo, throwing up (fortunately just water) once. Glad I don't have light reaction like other people I know when they have migraines. Sound is fine, all light levels are fine, just headache etc.

got up at six, got my appetite back at 8:30, which resulted in salmon and pasta and samphire. (mmmmmmm) oh, and setting the alarm off - always forget how much heat the grill produces.

Torchwood? This one was in the vein of Love and Monsters, sort of from an outsider's POV. I giggled muchly over love and Monsters. I *like* outsider POV stories. This? I spent yawning. :grumble:

That was, without a doubt, the worst episode of Torchwood so far.

Having a sad bastard sometimes works. But they kept going out of their way to prove that there was *nothing* interesting about him. And that his 'friends' were utter tossers. And then spent entire ep focussed on him and his voiceovers with Gwen trying to find out about him in a half-hearted sort of way. The bits with Owen challenging her to do an autopsy? Only interesting bits of the program. Well, that and the two seconds we got of the rest of T3. Would it have killed them to put hints of what's been happening in the other eps in?

Like you, I like outsider POV stories, but this one was just ... meh. It felt like it should have been much earlier in the series, because it was basic and didn't give us any move forwards on the other things that have been going on over the series.

And there was something that really bugged too - if they'd done a proper autopsy, then they'd have done stomach contents and the like, so why did they have to retrieve the eye from the crematorium?

It was lazy, which is the problem. Bah. Next week, though... that looks interesting.
